Ementa

O presente curso tem como objetivo proporcionar conhecimento em torno da Filosofia do Corpo e da Filosofia do Yoga. Para isso, coloca em diálogo questões ligadas a estas filosofias no que concerne ao Brasil e à Índia, reconhecendo tradições, epistemes e produtos das diáspora dessa prática corporal.

 

Contextualização

Desde o ano de 2018, quando do I Seminário de Yoga da Unicamp, organizado pela FEF e Centro de Lógica e Epistemologia (CLE), desenvolvemos contato com o Consulado Geral da Índia em SP. Nossa intenção era a de estreitar colaborações acadêmicas entre o Brasil e a Índia em torno do ensino e prática do Yoga no Brasil. O pano de fundo dessa colaboração é a compreensão do Yoga como uma filosofia do corpo, o que se articula com pesquisas de interesse da FEF Unicamp. Diagnosticamos que a prática corrente do Yoga no Brasil, por vezes, distancia-se de tal tradição filosófica, subsumindo-se a aspectos físicos imediatos da prática. Na tentativa de recuperar e valorizar a tradição filosófica inerente, ao mesmo tempo discutindo-se os processos de apropriações culturais típicos das diásporas desse tipo de tradição, surgiu o projeto mais amplo de se colocar em diálogo aspectos da filosofia do corpo no ocidente, o multiculturalismo e a filosofia do Yoga.
Tal projeto foi amplamente discutido em uma série de reuniões envolvendo a Profa. Dra. Cláudia Wanderley, do CLE, dedicada aos estudos interculturalidade, a Sra. Puja Kaushik, representante de assuntos culturais do consulado indiano e o Prof. Dr. Odilon José Roble, como docente da FEF que tem linha de pesquisa ligada às matrizes filosóficas e psicanalíticas do movimento.
Desse conjunto de reuniões e acolhendo solicitação manifesta pelos participantes do Seminário de Yoga de 2018 (foi feita uma pesquisa de interesse ao final do evento), consideramos a possibilidade de oferecer um curso remoto de “Difusão Cultural”, no âmbito de uma introdução e sensibilização sobre o assunto.

As aulas serão ministradas em português pelos professores da Unicamp e em Inglês pelos professores da S-VYASA. Recomenda-se um nível básico de inglês para a compreensão. As aulas terão transmissão ao vivo, mas poderão ser acessadas pelos alunos inscritos em até 24 horas. Haverá, além das aulas ao vivo, materiais gravados e estudos dirigidos que podem ser acessados ao longo do curso.
Há um número mínimo de inscritos para o curso se viabilizar. Caso esse número não seja atingido os já matriculados serão avisados e ressarcidos de eventuais pagamentos.

Guru Ji - Dr. H R Nagendra, PhD, Chancellor, S-VYASA

Dr.H R Nagendra is the President of Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samathana (VYASA) and also the Chancellor of Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana University (S-VYASA University). Dr. H R Nagendra, is widely recognized across the world as Yoga Guru.
Born on Janauary 1, 1943. Dr. H R Nagendra recived his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University in and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in 1968. Later served as faculty of IISc in Department of Mechanical Engineering. Served as Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the University of British Columbia, Canada in 1969. In 1970 moved to NASA Marshall Space Flight Centre, USA as Post-Doctoral Research Associate. In 1972 Moved to Engineering Science Laboratory, Harvard University, USA as a Consultant and also a Visiting Staff at Imperial College of Science and Technology, London.
Dr. H R Nagendra, During 1975, joined Vivekananda Kendra, a service mission, as Honorary Director of Training Centre, Vivekanandapuram, Kanyakumari. Served as Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Yoga Therapy & Research Committee (VK YOGAS) during 1979-1986. During 1993-2000 served All India Vice-President.
Dr. H R Nagendra, is Serving as President Viveknanda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (VYASA), Bengaluru, since 2000 . Served as Vice Chancellor Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samthana University (S-VYASA) from 2002-2013 and serving as Chancellor from 2013. Apart from this, Currently Dr H R Nagendra is the Chairman, IDY (Internal national Day of Yoga) Experts Committee, Task force of AYUSH (Ministry of Health &Family Welfare), SAC of CCRY (CENTRAL COUNCIL FOR RESEARCH IN YOGA AND NATUROPATHY), Government of India.
Dr. Nagendra is covted with DSc (Hoonory Causa) from KIIT, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

Prof. Dr. Melukote K Sridhar | S-VYASA

Professor Melukote K. Sridhar, Ph.D is currently Dean, Division of Yoga –Spirituality and formerly Dean of Academics,Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (Deemed to be) University (SVYASA), Jigani, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru. He is Hon. Adjunct Professor, Hindu University of America, Florida. He was Hon. Visiting Professor, Yoga University (Deemed), Bangalore (2009 onwards) and Hon. Director of Research, Sri Chidambara Institute for Research and Development, Gubbi. He was the Registrar of Karnataka Samskrit University (KSU), Chamarajapet, Bangalore (June 07, 2014 to December 06, 2015), Deputy Director, Publications wing, KSU (March 2012 – July 2013) and Hon. Dean, Division of Yoga and Humanities, Yoga University (2011-16).
He was a Fulbright Scholar (2000) with South Carolina University, USA (selected by the Indian and US Governments), Assistant Professor of Hinduism and Indian Philosophy at Hindu University of America, Orlando (2004 and 2005), an Adjunct Professor at Union University, Cincinnati, USA (2005 - 07). He has presented papers in 40 International conferences (USA, UK, Europe and South - East Asia), 40 National conferences and has participated in panel discussions on ancient thoughts and modern contemporary issues.
He was an Associate Professor of Sanskrit, National Degree College (Autonomous), Basavanagudi, Bangalore - 560 004 and was HOD of Sanskrit, National Degree College (Autonomous), Jayanagar VII Block, Bangalore -70.
Prof. Sridhar has given invited lectures at Harvard University, Universities at Berkeley, Stonybrook, USA, Oxford University, UK and several universities in India. He has guided five Indian candidates, a Guyanese Indian and an American Indian for their doctorate and M. Phil degrees (1995-2013) and was on the PhD committees of Hindu University of America, Orlando, Bangalore,Tumkur, Jain Universities and SVYASA University, Bangalore. His publication comprises of twenty seven books, two monographs, and fourteen articles in international peer reviewed volumes. He has edited/ co-edited several journals and was the Assistant Editor (International), Encyclopedia of Hinduism, USA and India. Chief- Editor of Kannada-English Concise Dictionary (2004). He is a nominated Theological Advisor in Child and Adolescent Spirituality wing of Search Institute, Minneapolis, USA. He was a UGC Research Fellow (1996-98). He is the Hon. Director of the Indological Research Foundation, Bangalore. He is the nominated member, Centre for Classical Kannada, Central University of Karnataka, Gulbarga (2013 -14) and D.Litt Selection Committee, SVYASA University. He is a member of NAAC Peer Team (2017 onwards).
He is a recipient of Ramkrishna International Sanskrit Award (2000) from The Canadian World Education Foundation - Saraswati Vikas, Canada, CTNS Berkeley Global Award for Baccalaureate course development (2001) USA, a Global Indian Awardee (2006) from Chanakya Foundation, Ideal Teacher award from Kashi Sheshasastri Trust, Bangalore (2007), Kapali Shastri Veda Puraskar (2009) and recipient of three state awards (Karnataka Tilaka, Karnataka Kesari 2006, Kempegowda award BBMP, Karnataka Govt, 2011 and National Award for Exemplary Teaching (2011) from Garden City University, Bangalore.
He has documented seminar proceedings of UNDP on population, environment and gender issues. Dr Sridhar was on the Organizing Committee (Core group) of the Tenth World Sanskrit Conference, Bangalore (Jan. 1997), and World Samskrit Book Fair (Jan. 2011), Bangalore. Prof. Sridhar has produced several documentaries on Sanskrit course online, environment, Indology and Yoga University. Prof. Dr. Odilon José Roble | FEF – UNICAMP

Licenciado em Educação Física, Bacharel em Filosofia, Especialista em Psicanálise, Mestre e Doutor em Educação. Professor do Departamento de Educação Física e Humanidades da Faculdade de Educação Física da UNICAMP. Desenvolve pesquisas sobre Filosofia do Esporte, Filosofia e Estética do corpo e Filosofia da Dança. Nesse esforço, recorro aos saberes do que se encontra como "Filosofia do Impulso", ou seja, uma visão filosófica da Mitologia Grega, dos pensamentos de Schopenhauer e Nietzsche e de elementos teóricos da psicanálise freudiana. É membro da Associação Internacional de Filosofia do Esporte.

 

Profa. Dra. Cláudia Wanderley | CLE – Unicamp

Graduada em Letras pela Universidade de Brasília (1992), Mestrado em Lingüística pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1999) e Doutorado em Lingüística pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2003). Pos-Doutorado na Universidade Paris 3, SYLED-TAL em Linguistica Computacional. Chairholder UNESCO Chair Multilingualism in Digital World (2007-2009). Atualmente da carreira de Pesquisadora no Centro de Lógica, Epistemologia e História da Ciência (CLE) da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP). Trabalha com fortalecimento de línguas, culturas e epistemes locais, atuando principalmente nas seguintes áreas: Linguística, Filosofia da Linguagem e Filosofia.
